The insert media has changed over the years and expanded into a major advertising media, and growth of specialty catalogs has been a bonanza for the insert media business. Insert media today has its own DMA council its own Insert Media Day and generates several billion dollars a year in revenue for mailers, brokers/managers, program owners and suppliers.
