Alumacraft Boat Co has appointed Exec VP Bob Zimmerman as its new president. Zimmerman will be responsible for operations at Alumacraft's manufacturing facilities in St Peter, MN, and Arkadelphia, AR. Prior to joining Alumacraft in 1995, Zimmerman held various positions with Outboard Marine Corp, Yamaha Marine Group and Lund Boats. On the other hand, Alumacraft has designated Mark Clement as its Southern sales manager. Clement used to be the assistant general manager at Grumman Boat Co and national sales manager at Sea Ark Boats.

Clifford M. Sladnick

Brunswick has appointed Clifford M Sladnick as the company's vice- president for acquisitions, replacing James Schneck, who is retiring from the company. In his new capacity, Sladnick will oversee Brunswick's various business development activities. Prior to his stint at Brunswick, Sladnick was Senior VP and general counsel at St Paul Bancorp in Chicago, IL. He was also a former partner at the McDermott, Will & Emery law firm in Chicago, IL.

NMEA names Cerney tech of the year
Article Abstract:
Cape Coral, FL-based Tropica Boats and Marine Inc technical service manager Willard Cerney was named 1999 technician of the year by the National Marine Electronics Assn (NMEA). The award, which was presented to Cerney during NMEA's annual awards banquet held in Fort Myers, FL, in Oct 1999, is in recognition for his efforts to share his knowledge in the field of marine electronics.
