Let's build on growth trends for future sales

Article Abstract:

The manufactured housing industry enjoyed a banner year in 1996. Shipments hit 276,664 in September and are expected to reach around 365,000 to 370,000 by the end of the year. Such strong performance is the result of the combination of several favorable market trends, such as greater availability of financing and the scarcity of competitively-priced apartments, and positive economic developments, such as moderate economic growth and stable inflation. If these conditions persist, the solid performance of the manufactured housing market should continue in 1997.

Industry moving into the housing vanguard

Article Abstract:

The manufactured housing industry enjoyed significant growth in 1995 as evidenced by the estimated 12% increase in the number of shipment of manufactured homes. This trend is expected to go on through 1996 as more people avail of manufactured homes for their fundamental housing needs instead of the more costly site-built home. Industry leaders are intensifying their campaign to ensure a positive legislative and regulatory environment to make the public aware of the benefits of manufactured housing.
