Is new databse a junior Abacus of retail world?

Article Abstract:

Dallas, TX-based Alliance Data Systems has launched a database of 20 million active credit card buyers. The list was compiled based on transactional data from eight popular retail chains owned by The Limited Inc. The segmented database has been divided into three that will each be managed by a separate company. These three list management firms are New York, NY-based MSGi Direct, Danbury, CT-based RMI Direct Marketing Inc and Bethel, CT-based List Services Corp.

Abacus Direct to study Internet shopping habits

Article Abstract:

Abacus Direct will introduce a line of syndicated market research products which will process information for its clients on consumers' Internet shopping habits. The products will augment Abacus Direct's core market segments, catalog, retail, business-to-business, publishing and the Internet. An Abacus executive said they would launch a project called Developing Effective Customer Contact Strategies, an initiative that resulted from client requests for specific information on customer behavior.

Madison Direct adds value to co-op with free life insurance offer

Madison Direct Marketing is sponsoring a prepaid life insurance policy for more than 1 million new parents in 2005. Family Advantage, the program name, will be launched in July and plans to add more value-added programs in the future.
