No faster than 70 mph, please

Article Abstract:

Personal watercraft manufacturers (PWC) agree on a voluntary speed cap requested by Coast Guard's Office of Boating Safety Chief Capt. Michael F. Holmes. While PWC makers declined to cap at 65 mph or on one specific number, all five companies capped speed to less than 70 mph. Current top speed of Arctic Cat's Tigershark is 60-62 mph, Bombardier Recreational Products' Sea Doo is 63.5 mph, Kawasaki's Jet Ski is 68 mph, Polaris' fastest model is 'in the low 60s' and Yamaha's WaveRunner is about 61 mph.
