BuyMedia adds another medium to lineup

BuyMedia Inc, a Web-based company that provides an advertising trading portal that sells air time for television and radio stations, has added cable television to its online brokering. The Burlingame, CA-based firm makes money by charging broadcast firms an ad broker fee of 3% on sales, which is significantly lower than the average ad broker fee of 6% to 25%. The company expects the cable addition to boosts its revenue.

Portland arena gets TicketMaster's online printing technology

The Rose Garden arena in Portland, OR, has signed up with Ticketmaster's Print My Own Internet-based technology. The technology will allow event- goers to log on to www.rosequarter.com or www.ticketmaster.com to buy and print a barcoded tocket for admission to Rose Garden concerts, family shows and sporting matches, including home games for the National Basketball Assn's Portland Trail Blazers.
