Program links travel agents to hotel bargains

Article Abstract:

Travel information directory provider Hotel and Travel Index (HTI) of Seacaucus, NJ, has partnered with unified messaging solutions provider MagnaCom of New York to launch a telemarketing program called Hotel Deals. The program allows its 41,000 hotel clients and more than 24,000 travel agents to get in touch with one another by allowing hotels and inns to fax last-minute availability reports and 1-800 numbers directly to travel agents. The faxes and phone numbers are connected through a call center run by MagnaCom.

HA-LO expects to fly high with launch of FlyPaper

HA-LO Industries Inc, a brand marketing company based in Niles, IL, is launching FlyPaper, which hopefully will attract a huge number of advertisers. The company will start a direct mail campaign, including 300 kits with sample airline tickers, a cover letter and a 24-page booklet touting the product. With Fortune 500 firms as the main target, the company aims to accept adverstisments on 15 million boarding passes, luggage tags, travel itineraries and ticket receipts every month.

Jubillenium mailing promotes peace

Article Abstract:

Direct mail agency G.S. Schwartz and Company Inc, of New York, has been tapped to launch the international business-to-business direct mail campaign of Jubillenium of New York. The organization is aiming to raise more than $1 million in donations and sponsorships to help promote peace in the new millenium. Mail pieces were sent to Fortune 1000 companies around the world, to be followed by 10,000-piece mailing in late Oct 1999.
