Shop wind-oh

Article Abstract:

The Bluewater Park shopping centre which Lend Lease is developing in Bristol, England, will be the first shopping centre in the world to be naturally ventilated. The running costs of a naturally ventilated development are an estimated 30% to 40% lower than those for traditional air-conditioning, and this approach will also have the advantage of creating a very natural atmosphere. Fresh air will be brought into the centre by using a wind scoop on the roof, rather than through windows.
