It's a mud, mud, mud, mud world. (mud and polystyrene houses)

Article Abstract:

A mud and polystyrene house has been built in northern Vermont, USA, providing high theram performance against the harsh winters. The walls are formed from mud inside and out, with the plastic sandwiched in between. It has a domed shape which requires no roofing materials or guttering. Robert Chappelle, the designer and builder, spent several winters formulating a mud mixture to withstand extreme temperatures, using a combination of 75% grated sand and 25% sandy loam. Argon filled glass windows are set into the mud and natural materials are used throughout the interior.

Park and parcel

Article Abstract:

Automatic car parks are more efficient than traditional multi-storey car parks. They allow more cars to be parked in a smaller area, thus saving floor space. Also there is no need for lighting or surveillance as drivers leave their cars on bogies which are manouvred by computer comtrol. German manufacturer, Krupps has been installing automatic car parks since 1958 and has been awarded planning permission for its first one in Britain by Wolverhampton Borough Council. British inventor, Gordon McNally is also producing his own design of automatic car park.
