Top 25 manufactured home builders in 1996 by total home production (HUD code.)

Article Abstract:

Fleetwood Enterprises ranked first in a survey of the top 25 manufactured home builders in 1996, based on total home production. Fleetwood was the best in three of the basic categories namely, total home production, single-section production and dollar volume. Champion Enterprises, meanwhile, garnered the second rank and led in the other three basic categories namely, total dollar volume, multi-section production and dollar volume. The industry gained 363,411 homes in 1996, with the top 25 obtaining the 88.8%.

Top 25 manufactured home builders in 1996 by total dollar volume (HUD and Non-HUD code.)

Article Abstract:

Champion Enterprises in Auburn Hills, MI, has led the 1996 top 25 manufactured home builders based on total dollar volume of $1,552,000,000. Fleetwood Enterprises in Riverside, CA, came in second at $1,460,809,000 followed by Greensboro, NC-based Oakwood Home, with a total dollar volume of $534,328,000. Based on a total dollar volume, the top 25 in 1996 totaled $8,204,630,711, a value that is $1,034,197,324 more than the total in 1995.
