TransAmerica Holdings boosts ties with Mokrynski

Article Abstract:

TransAmerica Holdings has strengthened its relationship with its list manager, Mokrynski & Associates of Hackensack, NJ, by consolidating its files with the latter's. Mokrynski, which also manages Arizona Mail Order, the firm where Garry Geisler of TransAmerica serves as senior VP of marketing, is scheduled to take over 1.5 million-name TransAmerica properties on July 1, 1998. Direct Media of Greenwich, CT, which handles files of Beauty Botique and Bundle of Joy, was already informed of the change while Novus Marketing of Tarrytown, NY, was advised it would have the chance to pitch for the files.

KBM strengthens Convergys relationship

Article Abstract:

Convergys, a teleservices and billing services provider, has joined forces with KnowledgeBase Marketing to bolster its database marketing capabilities for its customers. The agreement designates KnowledgeBase as the sole supplier of database marketing solutions to Convergys customers. Convergys, in sum, will be able to handle calls in a more intelligent manner. KnowledgeBase, in turn, will be able to tap Convergys' teleservices for its integrated marketing campaigns. Using Convergys' expertise, thus, will allow KnowledgeBase to expand its market to call centers.

Polk ADC outdoor database

Article Abstract:

Compiled list manager Polk ADC Group of Stamford, CT, has acquired five state registration files managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. The files include the 1.12-million-name fishing license holders, the 612,000-name hunter license holders, 653,000-name boat registrations, 416,000-name park visitors and 51,000-name Conservation Passport lists. The new lists boosted the number of names at its outdoor database of state registration files by 2 million names.
