USPS names acting officers

Article Abstract:

The US Postal Service has appointed Richard J Strassner as acting CFO and Donna M Peak as acting vp of finance and controller. Former controller John Ward was given the duties and responsibilities of vp, core business marketing. Ward had been involved in a controversial decision to spend $248,000 in relocating himself and former CFO M Richard Porras. The Board of Governors has rescinded the postmaster general's authority to provide relocation benefits to top postal executives.

Potter: USPS ok, but rates will rise

Article Abstract:

Speaking at Postal Customer Council meet the United States Post Master General John E. Potter has stated that revenues of postal service will increase to 1 billion dollars in this current fiscal year. He also pressed that the prices of postal services will rise in order to payoff 3.1 billion escrow payments.
