Software scans documents for Web

Article Abstract:

LizardTech has unveiled a software called DjVu WorkGroup that allows marketers to scan catalogs for archiving or placement on the Web. DjVu WorkGroup converts documents into electronic files through an interface, but reduces the files by up to 1,000 times. The software can also function as an online documentation system for books, magazines, newspapers and legal contracts. DjVu WorkGroup also features nine 'watched' folders for document coding.

TMI-Multimedia and Eactive have jointly developed a design software that will allow trucking firms to use the Internet in recruiting truck drivers. The software will allow trucking firms to send e-mails containing text, HTML links and audio-video files. The video files can be embedded in the email and can be opened by users with media player applications. On the other hand, the HTML links will allow users to access Web sites with information on available jobs and their duties.
