1990-94 Chevrolet Lumina

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1990-1994 Chevrolet Lumina models come in the base and sportier Euro forms. Euros feature blackout body and trim and feature a sport suspension as well as either 15-inch or 16-inch tires. Base Luminas feature 14-inch tires. Standard equipment on all models include four-wheel disc brakes, power steering and a fully independent suspension all around. This generation offers benefits in terms of acceleration, with the 3.4- and 3.8-liter V-6 engine, as well as passenger and cargo room, among other advantages.

1990-96 Chevrolet Lumina APV/Minivan

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1990-1996 Chevrolet Lumina APV/Minivan models feature a long sloping snout with steep windshield that combine to cut into interior space. It is difficult for drivers to see the front end while maneuvering, and even if the snout was shortened for the 1994 model, forward visibility could be a problem. They drive much like passenger cars, corner with remarkable control, absorb most bumps without harshness or wallowing, lean modestly in turns and offer good snow/rain traction.

1995-99 Chevrolet Lumina/Monte Carlo

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1995-199 Chevrolet Lumina/Monte Carlo models provide adequate performance through 3.1-liter engines, although they initially feel slow. The four-speed automatic transmission changes gears smoothly and downshifts promptly when passing power is needed. The stronger 3.4- liter engine delivers roughly three mpg less than the base engine, which averaged 20.1 mpg in a test drive with the car being in the expressway during roughly 50% of the test period.
