1990-94 Subaru Legacy

Article Abstract:

The 1990-1994 Subaru Legacy models are larger and more refined than the Subaru Loyale. The new 2.2-liter, four-cylinder engine in these models is smooth, quiet and delivers spritely acceleration with either five-speed manual or four-speed automatic shift. Head and leg room are adequate for adults, both front and rear. Virtues include driver airbags in the later editions, optional anti-lock brakes, acceleration with the turbocharged engine, wet weather traction with the four-wheel-drive editions, handling and road holding.

1995-99 Subaru Legacy

Article Abstract:

The 1995-1999 Subaru Legacy models carry 2.2-liter engines, which are adequate for most circumstances but throb and feel strained in hard acceleration and hilly country. The suspension strikes an admirable balance between ride and handling, with comfort taking precedence. Bumps are absorbed easily and all editions feel stable. This new generation of Legacy models are more competitive in the compact car market with the addition of the dual airbags.
