Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1990-1996 Pontiac Trans Am minivans share their front-drive layout with the Chevrolet Lumina APV and Oldsmobile Silhouette. This generation has a 120-horsepower, 3.1-liter V-6 engine hooked to a three-speed automatic transmission. The body panels of these 1990-1996 models are made of a fiberglass-like composite material designed to absorb minor impacts and spring back without damage. Virtues include dual airbags in the later editions and acceleration with the 3.8-liter V-6 engine.
