1993-98 Mercury Villager

Article Abstract:

Ford Motor Co's 1993-1998 Mercury Villager models are front-drive minivans available in GS and LS trim and powered by 151-horsepower, 3.0-liter Nissan V-6 engines coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission. A four- wheel anti-lock braking system is standard in this generation, which boast less interior room compared to other competing minivans. These models lack many of the standard features found in competing minivans but they remain a good choice if buyers require more than a mid-sized station wagon but do not require the interior space provided in the larger minivans.

1992-99 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1992-1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight models are front- drive, full-sized sedans which feature new aerodynamic styling. The base engine in these models provides sufficient power for strong takeoffs and safe passing, Fuel economy in tests averaged 17 mpg-21 mpg. The power steering on the base and LS models appears not to be able to furnish adequate feedback. The standard, softly-sprung suspension allows too much body roll, causing these cars to lean excessively in turns.
