American Honda's 1997-1999 Acura CL models share many virtues with the lower-costing Honda Accord model since several components are commonly used in both cars. However, they look, feel and behave like more robust and better-appointed Accords. They can also seat four adults in reasonable comfort. CL engines come in two versions, both of which run smoothly. However, the four-cylinder version performs best with manual shift, while the 3.0-liter V-6 engine version delivers brisk acceleration.

The engines in American Honda's 1994-1999 Acura Integra models rev powerfully but lack sufficient low-end torque to perform superlatively with the automatic transmission. All Integras within these model years are swift with five-speed manual transmission systems. These cars are reliable, exhibit excellent fuel economy, corner adeptly and make for slightly smoother riding. However, their high resale value means they are not cheap second-hand cars.

1990-93 Acura Integra

American Honda's 1990-1993 Acura Integra is a good car in terms of fuel economy, acceleration with five-speed transmission, handling and road holding, reliability and anti-lock brake system. Stopping power is especially impressive with the optional anti-lock braking system. The 1990-1993 Integras' controls are sensible and fall easily to hand, their analog gauges are well-marked and unobscured and their seats are firm and supportive.
