More digital high-volume copiers are now being launched in the UK, while the market for mono copiers is declining, partly as a result of the growing popularity of multifunctional machines. Digital models are generally more expensive than analogue copiers, but offer a number of benefits, including being able to connect the copier to a PC. Using a high-volume copier as a multifunction machine may prove less expensive on an overall cost-per-page basis than operating a separate laser printer.
