British Airways (BA) admitted a serious lapse in the maintenance of vital medical equipment following a passenger's death on one of its aircrafts. Every BA aircraft carries a defibrillator, which is a machine that delivers electric shocks to restart the heart, but when the cabin crew rushed to use it on the man, they found that it had a flat battery.
