Sub-notebook computers are designed mainly for mobile applications and have less power than A4 notebooks. A best buy for true portability is the Zenith Data Systems Z-Lite with a good basic specification and competitively priced at 749 pounds sterling. Another good value machine is the Compaq Contura Aero 4 33, priced at 1,399 pounds sterling. It has a colour monitor and weighs under 2 kg. Other sub-notebook computers are evaluated.
