Each automobile is evaluated for comfort, ease of handling and use and how fast someone can break into the car.

Latest small family cars often have features such as fuel injection and catalytic converters, but secondary safety features still differ greatly between models. Potential purchasers are in a very good position to obtain discounts as dealers are eager to sell. Nissan's Sunny 1.4 LS is easy to drive but has drawbacks with rear access, tyre noise and leg-room, while Citroen's ZX Reflex 1.4 handles well but is noisy and difficult to start and Vauxhall's Astra LS 1.4i has excellent secondary safety features but can be noisy.
