Finding the right funeral director

Article Abstract:

A survey of 78 funeral director revealed that only 31 gave out a price list when requested, although a further eight provided a list when asked for the second time. Most directors have membership to either the Funeral Standards Council or the National Association of Funeral Directors, however, neither organisation can guarantee that its members follow the code of practice. The subject of paying in advance for funeral arrangement is discussed, along with what to do when someone dies.

Serving you right?

Article Abstract:

Sending families to eat in various types of restaurants is a good way of assessing the levels of service provided. Of the 12 restaurants sampled, 11 offered special meals for children, and most supplied special seating for children. Nearly all had non-smoking areas, but there was considerable variation in policies on service charges. There are now a number of ways in which customers can complain about poor service in restaurants.

The price ain't right

Article Abstract:

Price fixing is a problem recognised by the Office of Fair Trading, however, as yet it has been unable to curb it. The market for electrical goods is one sector where prices are remarkably similar wherever you shop. It is suggested that some manufacturers do regulate prices, and also large electrical retailers can influence supplier and manufacturers to refuse to supply a particular retailer if he sells at lower prices.
