Article Abstract:

Which? reports on a survey of 789 train commuters and found that service was poorer than in 1998. Nearly 50% of passengers reported recent delays that had caused them to be late for work or home, most thought the trains were overcrowed, and few supported reducing train frequency to improve service.

An evaluation is presented of the quality of service offered by retail outlets selling mobile communications equipment and services. 120 shops were visited and the majority were found to offer poor advice to customers.
