Playing your cards right

Article Abstract:

Credit cards may benefit the user or the bank in Australia, where some $8 billion is owed in credit card debt in 1997. Some people borrow for credit and some for convenience. It is a good idea to choose a card that fits the spending and repayment patterns of the user and to avoid institutions that offer fewer than the standard 55 days interest-free. Repayment conditions should be the priority for those who feel lured in by loyalty programs and the rewards they offer. Late payments may be very expensive for those trying to get loyalty points.
