Article Abstract:

The Internet allows computers throughout the world to access information and swap files. Currently about 15 million have access to the Internet. Internet Access Providers provide the links and routers which operate the Internet. The World Wide Web (WWW) was developed to act as a graphical, multimedia interface to the Internet. Web sites are useful for brand building and publicity and it is possible that the Internet will be used increasingly for long-distances and international telephone traffic.

Internet printing

Article Abstract:

Laser printers are well-suited to Internet printing, and an internet compatible printer will have its own web utility and Internet address. The Internet opens up print services to mobile users. However there is no universal standard for printing over the Internet, and currently Web based documents are converted into PostScript from HTML format. The Internet Printing Protocol has been set up to consider the issues of Internet printing and find solutions.
