FRANCE: THIMON DEVELOPS COVER-PAL 2000

The Thimon company has developed Cover-Pal 2000, a new generation of an automated shrink wrap machine, which, according to Georges Jaconelli, the president of Thimon, meets three needs: it is quick and easy to use and maintain, operating safety, and high performance. Laiterie des Fayes has already acquired the Cover-Pal 2000. Michel Laurendeau, the director of the Laiterie des Fayes, says that the company used several criteria in choosing this machine: client satisfaction, operators' safety, and the fact that this machine can identify the type of pallet and choose an appropriate wrap.

FRANCE: FIVE YEAR TARGET FOR DISTRI-PACK

Article Abstract:

The French industrial packaging machine designer and wholesaler, Distri-Pack, is experiencing fast expansion thanks to its complete after sales service, which includes immediate on-site assistance, including night and weekends. It also said it is looking at the possible take over of a similar company called Emball 80, based in Abbeville, in which it already holds a 33% stake. Distri-Pack, which turns over FFr 21mn, said it expects to reach FFr 100mn in turnover by 2005.

FRANCE: OUEST CONDITIONNEMENT CHANGES NAME

Article Abstract:

Ouest Conditionnement has changed name to become Cermex O.C. The new entity, which used to be a subsidiary of the Sidel group, also becomes a subsidiary of Cermex, one of Sidel's exterior packaging activity with Kalix. Cermex O.C., a manufacturer of tight packing machines based in Lisieux , will concentrate on beer, milk-based drinks, soft-drinks, graphical arts and other markets.
