Feathered dinosaurs

Article Abstract:

The fossil discoveries from Early Cretaceous rocks of Liaoning Province, China, have provided a wealth of spectacular specimens and include remains of different kinds of small theropod dinosaurs that are closely related to modern birds. These fossils show a progression of integumentary types from simple fibers to features of modern aspects.

Representing model uncertainty in weather and climate prediction

Article Abstract:

The methods used to represent model uncertainty of weather and climate prediction are discussed. It is argued that multimodel and related ensembles are superior to corresponding single model ensembles but do not provide a comprehensive representation of model uncertainty.
