Long-term river response to regional doming in the Price River Formation, central Utah: comment and reply

Article Abstract:

Alfred C. Guiseppe and associate conducted an experiment on regional doming in the Price River Formation in central Utah. The applicability of a data set aligned parallel to paleodepositional strike, the linking of two separate fluvial systems and the employment of a postdepositional unconformity are questionable. However their normal-to-paleoflow data set have the potential to provide a case study for comparison with alluvial architecture models.

Fossil gap analysis supports early Tertiary origin of trophically diverse avian orders: comment and reply

Article Abstract:

Robert Bleiwess conducted a research on three avian orders to prove that they originated after the K-T boundary using gap analysis. Although the gap analysis support the theory that the diversification within each of the modern orders transpired after the Cretaceous, it is also consistent with findings that indicate that the divergence between the orders was deep in the Cretaceous and not in the Tertiary.
