The CO2 fertilization factor and the 'missing' carbon sink
Article Abstract:
Ocean modelers continue attempts to account for the missing carbon link or what is popularly known as the carbon dioxide fertilization effect. A simple box model proposed by Kheshgi et al. (1995) can provide a rough order estimate of the carbon dioxide fertilization effect. However, high resolution effects which also consider factors such as land-use, land management and other anthropogenic perturbations to terrestrial biomes will be needed to end debates on the carbon dioxide fertilization effect.

Many professional advisers in the West Midlands region of the UK are now recommending that private companies facing short-term difficulties consider equity release. This allows business owners to realize some of their investment in the company while retaining control. Venture capital equity or a mixture of equity and debt is used to realize some of the shareholders' equity. The company is not negatively affected, as all the cash taken out is replaced by money from new investors.
