An empirical analysis of the changing role of the German Bundesbank after 1983

Article Abstract:

A test of whether the monetary policy of Germany determines price inflation within the whole of Europe is conducted by analyzing the monetary mechanisms in Germany, as well as their effect on price inflation before and after 1983. The study showed that, while the money supply is controllable and either its expansion or contraction has the anticipated effect on prices, income, and interest rates before the sample period, these monetary mechanisms were no longer functional after the period in question. Such a system, particularly the one that prevailed after 1983, relies to a large extent on the bond rate.

Article Abstract:

Comparative analysis of the quality of education in private and public schools in India is undertaken using data from Uttar Pradesh. Results show that private schools offer higher quality education as seen through the higher examination grades that students of their students get and the growing demand for them from the population. Such results are consonant to those of similar studies in other developing countries.
