Chinese bilateral intra-industry trade: A panel data study for 50 countries in the 1992-2001 period

Article Abstract:

The features and determinants of Chinese intra-industry trade during the 1992-2001 transition period is examined for 50 of China's trade partners, where this trade particularly vertical intra industry trade (VIIT) increases during the transition period. China's liberalization policies and the special role of Hong Kong are demonstrated and a number of important business and political implications are drawn from the findings.

On the microstructure of the German export boom: Evidence from establishment panel data, 1995-2002

Article Abstract:

The report stated that an unbalanced panel data set for exporting firms from manufacturing industries in one German Federal State, Lower Saxony, to investigate the microstructure of the recent export boom. Firms with expanding and contracting exports are found simultaneously in all broad sectors, technology classes and firm size classes.

Unobserved firm heterogeneity and the size-exports nexus: evidence from German panel data

Article Abstract:

The large sets of German establishment panel data is used to study the relation between the firm size and exporting trends. The results showed that the export/ sale ratio increases with firm size but vanishes if unobserved firm heterogeneity is controlled for in a fixed-effects fractional logit regression.
