Crisps and snacks

Article Abstract:

The UK market for crisps and snacks reached a value of just over 2 billion pounds sterling in 1999. This market is forecast to expand by a further 2% in 1999, with sales being fuelled by the trend towards casual eating and lighter lunches. New product development over recent years has focused on adult products, but children are the largest volume consumers of crisps and snacks. On current trends, the market will remain static overall, the snacks taking market share away from crisps.
