A study outlined several strategies rural communities can adopt to sustain an economic development program. The study suggested communities' continuous evaluation of their youth and adult education to fit into near and future employment needs. Partnership with schools is valuable in educating and bringing into the community the latest technologies and business opportunities available. Community efforts are also paramount in creating and sourcing funds through networks and cooperation agreements.
