Article Abstract:

The fiscal policy of the New Labour from May 1997 to 2007 is evaluated begining with the macroeconomic performance during that timeframe. It is argued that the relative stability in macroeconomics during said period was not caused by the fiscal policy but by changes in the fiscal stance that offset differences in private expenditure.
