Forecasting OECD industrial turning points using unobserved components models with business survey data

Article Abstract:

Industrial production in six countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development was studied to test theories about economic forecasting. Results about how to forecast turning points in the business cycle are explained and research data analyzed.

Just-in-time inventory systems innovation and the predictability of earnings

Article Abstract:

The relationship between the implementation of just-in-time (JIT) inventory practice and the predictability of future quarterly earnings of 82 firms is studied. The firms, in order to save costs and improve the quality of the product follow JIT inventory practices.
