Gender wage gap and segregation in enterprises and the public sector in late transition countries

Article Abstract:

The channel through which gender segregation and an individual's gender affect the overall gender wage gap in the enterprises and public sector in the transition countries is discussed. These countries are now in the process of enacting and implementing standard Western-style, anti-discriminational labor market policies.

Dose guanxi matter to nonfarm employment?

Article Abstract:

Significant importance of guanxi, a social network, on an individualEs probability of serving a nonfarm job is highlighted. It is shown that different types of guanxi have different effects on aspects of nonfarm employment like the type of nonfarm job and per capita income.

Bank competition and credit markets in transition economies

Article Abstract:

Countries that are undergoing through the process of transition are characterized as overbanked and unsatisfactory degree of bank services in the finance markets. Collateralized credit offers are investigated and are compared for different degrees of bank competition.
