To all in tents

Article Abstract:

The Llangollen International Events Centre, Wales is a permanent replacement for the tent structures used to stage the annual Eisteddfod festival of folk music and dance. The tented theme is continued by the use of tensile fabric for the main auditorium. Another fabric roofed structure houses a multi-purpose hall while ancillary facilities are housed in concrete buildings. The fabric design is inspiring but let down by the confused and sometimes crude design and detailing of the hall and concrete structures.
