Imitation dynamics in the repeated Prisoners' Dilemma: an exploratory example

Article Abstract:

A deterministic evolutionary process was assessed which governs the adoption of strategies for playing the repeated prisoners' dilemma. The process involves agents playing unsuccessful strategies who attempt to duplicate the strategies of successful agents. Such effort to duplicate strategies of those agents that are successful is found to improve the growth of under-performing strategies. It also results to confusion with regards to differentiating winning strategies from inferior strategies.
