Men's underwear

Article Abstract:

The men's underwear market, which includes vests, socks and underpants, has increased by 16% in real terms between 1992 and 1997 and is worth 678 million pounds sterling. Growth has resulted from the increased prices of designer garments and new fabrics. Vest sales totalled 11 million over the same period while sock sales rose by just 1%. However, this represented an increase of 10% in real terms. Designer underwear will increase its profile and there is scope for growth in this area, especially for men aged over 34 years of age.
