Never Give up on the Good Times: Student Attrition in the UK

Research indicates that matching and peer group effects are important predictors of college student attrition in the United Kingdom. These factors are modeled for both academic failure and voluntary dropout based on studies of approximately 100,000 students.

Determinants of degree performance in UK universities: a statistical analysis of the 1993 student cohort

Article Abstract:

A statistical analysis of the 1993 university graduates in Great Britain indicates that social class is significant in college student success. Reasons for differences in female success were not discerned in this analysis.

Partnership dissolution in the UK - the role of economic circumstances

Article Abstract:

This research shows that partship dissolutions occur at a high rate when a family encounters a reduction in income. The presence of children increases the dissolution rate.
