Never Say Never Again

Article Abstract:

Lionel Murray, general secretary of Britain's Trade Union Congress (TUC), showed unexpected leadership when he forced the TUC to decide against backing the National Graphical Association (NGA). The TUC will not support illegal action such as the recent mass picketing by the NGA. The offical policy of the TUC is still to help unions against the 1980 and 1982 labor laws.

Lawful Len Murray

Article Abstract:

Len Murray, leader of Britain's Trades Union Congress, does not support illegal strike actions. The congress refused to support such an action by the National Graphical Association in December 1983. This may encourage other unions to follow the law.
