The contribution of dynamic effects of regional integration to economic growth is discussed from three angles: knowledge (which includes productivity growth), the accumulation of physical and human capital, and accelerated domestic reforms. The trend of economic growth and the evolution of trade policy in ASEAN countries is summarized.
