Article Abstract:

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose 0.5% in Mar 1992. The CPI-U went to 139.3 without seasonal adjustment, an increase of 3.2% for the last 12 months. The Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) rose 0.4% in March to 137.0 without seasonal adjustment, an increase of 3.0% since Mar 1991. Most of the increase is attributable to an increase in the prices of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Article Abstract:

Both consumer price indexes (CPIs) rose 0.2% in Jul 1992. The CPI for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) went to 140.5 without seasonal adjustment, an increase of 3.2% for the last 12 months. The CPI for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) went to 138.4 without seasonal adjustment, an increase of 3.1% since Jul 1991. Food and beverages fell slightly as did grocery store prices.
