Regulation, Vertical Integration and Sabotage

Article Abstract:

This paper finds that regulation will not suffice to curb the incentive of a dominant firm in, say, telecommunications and electricity industries, to engage in non-price discrimination. Market competition will be more effective than regulatory constraint.

Revenue sharing and vertical control in the Video Rental industry

Article Abstract:

Research information regarding the video rental industry and revenue sharing as it applies to vertically separated industries is outlined. The research shows the value of revenue sharing where demand is either stochastic or variable.
