Response rates for the consumer price indexes, 1998

Article Abstract:

Response rates have been calculated for the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for 1998. Rates are shown for U.S. city average and for selected areas. The response rates are given separately for commodities and services, and for the shelter component of housing. Rates for commodities and services are given for outlets and quotes.

Article Abstract:

Response rates have been calculated for the Consumer Price Indexes for 1997. For the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), 1997 response rates are given for all data, U.S. city average, by major group. Response rates for selected areas are also given. Response rates aid in evaluating CPI data for accuracy.
