Should you upgrade to Windows 95?

Article Abstract:

A business should be circumspect about immediately upgrading its computer systems to run the operating system known as Windows 95. Although this version of Windows is a big improvement over existing ones, it is costly and is not totally compatible with current software. Its applications are still being written. There are alternatives to this setup, such as staying within the present DOS/Windows 3.1x system and using IBM's technically superior OS/2 WARP. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

Efficiency and productivity of China's thermal power generation

Article Abstract:

The steps taken by the Chinese government to reform the electric power sector are mentioned. The paper studies the quantity of thermal power produced by different decision making units (DMU) viz., the 30 provinces, independent regions and municipalities and its technological efficiency using the non-parametric data envelopment analysis (DEA) method.

Vertical integration and efficiency: ownership in the Swedish sawmill industry

Article Abstract:

A study conducted on the Swedish sawmill industry to determine the technical efficiency levels in different management types reveals that the technical efficiency has similar fluctuations in case of both vertically integrated companies and the non-integrated companies.
