Small business earnings
Article Abstract:
The statistical data of small business earnings is presented month wise from the year 1998 to 2003. It is seen that the profit trends improved modestly in July 2003, logging the best performance in eight months and among those with improved earnings, 55 percent attributed to stronger sales.

The statistical data of small business sales is presented month wise from the year 1998 to 2003. It is shown that 31 percent of all owners reported higher sales in the most recent three-month period, up four points, while 25 percent reported lower sales, down five points.
