Teaching economics at the start of the 21st century: still chalk-and-talk
Article Abstract:
A survey of economics teachers at colleges in 2000 was compared to a similar survey in 1995 and the results indicated that economics is still taught the same way. Economics teachers still organizee their classes around lectures and writing equations on the board, with little or no discussion or activities.
