Article Abstract:

This article addresses the need of post-communist Russia to preserve its potential resources in science-intensive sectors, while searching for additional financial resources to support the investment process, and the promotion of competition for markets, in order to establish financial security. Russian national security means the state economy provides political, social, defensive and progressive development of the Federation; a threat to this security is the decline of economic potential of the country over a period of time; the authors apply these indicators to the scientific sector, corporation or enterprise.

Article Abstract:

This article discusses Russian domestic economic policy, emphasizing universal economic rules such as the influence of productivity growth on the attainment of a leading international economy and the improvement of the standard of living. The authors assert the need for an efficient use of labor and resources, focusing mainly on the maximization of labor productivity, which they claim has been ignored in the 1990s; comparisons with Japan, Western Europe and US handling of labor productivity during periods of economic crisis are provided.
